Q.Are your fortune cookies and facility nut free?Are there any other allergies that I should be concerned about? A. While our fortune cookies are nut free, as of December 1, 2009 our facility is not. We have added new products like the Gigantic M&M's Fortune Cookie and a Gourmet Hazelnut Giant Fortune Cookie. While these are contained to our chocolate dipping room, we cannot guarantee there is no cross contamination. We use an old-fashioned recipe for all our gourmet fortune cookies that includes real wheat flour, eggs, and pure sugar cane sugar. While our cookies are dairy free our chocolate is not. So if lactose is a concern feel free to taste any of our flavored cookies, but please do not have the chocolate covered fortune cookies.
Q.Can I get my customsayings done in otherlanguages?
A.Yes! You'll simply sendus camera ready copy orartwork in the formatneeded. If there are nospecial symbols, no cameraready art is necessary.[Top]
They do keep well for a few days in an airtight container (if it's humid, slip in a piece of bread to keep them crisp), so they can be made ahead. Write out, or print, fortunes on pieces of paper that are about 3/8 inch (1 cm) wide. Cut them out.
THE instructions on the red wrapper are very explicit: (1) Open the packaging.(2) Use both hands to break open the fortune cookie.(3) Retrieve and read the fortune.(4) Eat the cookie.
Now for decorated cookies. If you leave them on the counter, at room temperature, they should be good to go for about two weeks. If you decide to leave them in the fridge, they will last about a week, but keep in mind that it's best to eat them within the first three days.
