Of the two, Pit Boss inches out Traeger because of their smaller portable offering. When looking at heat, the difference between the two is negligible, going from 180F to 500F. The low smoke setting on both is great for adding flavor to fish. However, this is where the similarities stop.

Cons of Pellet Grills

On the downside, pellet grills require a power source, limiting their mobility. They may not reach the high temperatures needed for searing, and the cost of pellets can be higher compared to other fuel types. Lastly, the complexity of components may lead to more frequent maintenance needs.

American Outdoor Brands (NASDAQ:AOUT) will acquire privately-owned Grilla Grills for $27M in cash, or ~$24M after factoring in the future tax benefit resulting from the asset purchase.
