Fancy becoming a millionaire? Well, the numbers that are picked most regularly in the lottery have been revealed.
If you have dreams of one day of winning the Powerball lottery jackpot then you might have this in common with millions of Australians as they consider the possibility of winning the upcoming second largest lottery prize in Australian history.
On Thursday, numbers will be drawn for the 150 million Australian dollar Powerball jackpot, roughly 98 million in USD. This prize is only surpassed by the $160 million AUD, roughly $105M USD, Powerball in 2022.
The Lott, the company behind Australia’s official lottery provider, has revealed the numbers that tend to pop up regularly and those that have come up the least in the past.
So, if you are hoping to have a winning ticket, it might be worth knowing these.

The most frequently drawn winning numbers from the main barrel are 17, 7, 11, 2, 3 and 9, while the least frequently drawn are 33, 15, 34, 31, 26 and 1.
The most frequently drawn Powerball numbers are 19 and 2, while the least frequently drawn Powerball numbers are 14 and 16.
It has to be said, just because they have a history of coming up, there is no guarantee that these numbers will win you the jackpot.
In fact, there is a one in 134,490,400 chance of taking home the $150 million. Best to keep that in mind before you spend your life savings on the ‘winning ticket’.
Even if you don’t take home the top prize, The Lott has insisted there are ‘hundreds of thousands of winners each week’. Likely speaking about the smaller prizes for correctly guessing some of the right numbers.

The game is pretty simple and the website explains it as: “Powerball is drawn from 2 barrels. 7 numbers are drawn from the main barrel (numbered from 1 to 35) and 1 Powerball number is drawn from the Powerball barrel (numbered from 1 to 20).
“There are 9 prize divisions in Powerball. You can win a prize with as little as 2 winning numbers plus the Powerball number in a single game. To win the jackpot (Division 1) your entry needs to match all 7 winning numbers plus the Powerball number in a single game,”
If you are feeling particularly lucky, it might be worth copping a ticket but remember to do so before the draw. Powerball draws close at 7.30pm (AEST) every Thursday night.
