Man Buys Stolen Car Over Craigslist, Arrest for Drug Possession With Intent to Distribute (3)

Following are excerpts from theBurlington Police Departmentlog. Note that this is a sampling of activity in the log, not a complete account. We report all arrests included in the daily police log. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.Monday, September 30-

  • At 10:09 a.m. a Kimball CT caller reported another tenant in their building assaulted her that morning at the bus stop.
  • At 1:21 p.m. a caller at the Dunkin Donuts on Wall Street reported an infant inside a vehicle and the motor running. Vehicle gone when police arrived.
  • At 4:56 p.m. a Sparhawk Drive caller reported that on September 17 she was unable to find her diamond rings valued at $4,500. She said she searched her house and now thinks they have been stolen. She also said that on August 9 she had plumbing work done at her home and that the workers were alone in the house.
  • At 5:24 p.m. a caller from Quint Essentials reported extensive damage to an apartment by the past tenant. Over $1,000 worth of damage.
  • At 10:07 p.m. a man came to the station to report that he paid $2,000 to purchase a vehicle over a Craiglist ad. The man said when he went to get the car registered he was informed the vehicle was reported stolen out of Burlington.

Tuesday, October 1-

  • At 1:14 p.m. a caller from Dunbar Armored Car Company reported a suspicious person hanging around while they were conducting a transaction at the Burlington Mall. The man was described as a white male wearing a winter jacket and winter hat who left in a white Firebird.
  • At 2:37 p.m. police issued a summons to a Burlington man on a charge of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration. Summons issued after a motor vehicle stop.
  • At 4:48 p.m. a caller at Beacon Village reported his vehicle was struck while parked and no information was left behind.
  • At 8:17 p.m. police arrested Anthony DiFrancesco, 21, of 12 Skilton Lane, Burlington, on charges of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and possession to distribute a Class D drug (subsequent offense).
