Cook Time:5 days (5 prep+inactive time)

Add pecans to your favorite co*cktail with this pecan-infused bourbon! Requiring just three ingredients, add toasted pecans, bourbon and vanilla to a mason jar and let sit for a few days. Once infused, use it to make your drink of choice including a Pecan Old Fashioned or Pecan Hot Toddy.

Ingredients

1 cup pecan halves, toasted*

1 vanilla bean

1 750ml bottle bourbon

Process:

  1. Place toasted pecans and vanilla bean in a quart size mason jar. Pour bourbon over pecans and vanilla bean. Place on lid and swirl gently to mix. Allow bourbon to infuse at room temperature for about 5 days (remove lid and taste after 5 days. If a stronger pecan flavor is desired, allow it to infuse a few more days).
  2. Strain out pecans and vanilla bean. Add pecan infused bourbon to bottles. Use to make recipes including a Pecan Old Fashioned or Pecan Hot Toddy.
