Super Bowl LVIII promises to give football fans an epic clash between the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers. Of course, the Super Bowl has become more than just a game, which is why it's watched by many who aren't football fans at all.

This year's game will feature several intriguing storylines that may interest casual fans. Patrick Mahomes is set to start his fourth Super Bowl in six seasons as a full-time starter, while Brock Purdy has reached the big game in just his second season as the 2022 Mr. Irrelevant.

However, fans will also be treated to multiple performances by legendary and award-winning musicians, from start to finish.

Super Bowl LVIII

Date: Sunday, February 11

Time: 6:30 p.m. ET

TV and Live Stream: CBS, Univision, Paramount+

Before the scheduled 6:30 p.m. ET kickoff, three talented artists will perform.

Country Music Hall of Famer Reba McEntire will perform this year's national anthem, a year after fellow Country artist Chris Stapleton did the same.

"It's not about me. It's about everybody who has worked so hard to get to the Super Bowl," McEntire said, per Jack Irvin of People.

Andre Day will perform "Lift Every Voice and Sing," while Post Malone will sing "America the Beautiful."

Day and Post follow last year's performers, Sheryl Lee Ralph and Babyface, respectively.

Kaskade will also perform during warm-ups and serve as the in-game Super Bowl DJ. Kaskade will replace Tiësto, who was originally tabbed as the Super Bowl DJ but was forced to withdraw due to a family emergency.

"As a kid who grew up in Chicago watching the NFL Super Bowl every year with my family this chance to actually be part of it is absolutely mind blowing," Kaskade posted on X, formerly known as Twitter.

The halftime show will be headlined by R&B legend Usher Raymond, better known simply as Usher. However, fans shouldn't expect a solo performance like the one Rihanna provided in 2023.

Usher's first studio album was released in 1994, and the 45-year-old has released numerous hits and been part of many memorable collaborations in the years since. One of his most notable hits, "Yeah!" serves as the centerpiece of the Apple Music Super Bowl LVIII Halftime Show trailer:

"Yeah!" also featured Lil Jon and Ludacris, and fans can probably expect both to make an appearance on Sunday night.

"I would be a fool to not play 'Yeah!' let's just start there," Usher said, per Meredith B. Kile of Entertainment Tonight. "It would be foolish to make it all the way to Las Vegas, Jon is here, Luda's here and not play 'Yeah!'"

It would be a surprise if other guest artists aren't also involved, considering Usher has collaborated with the likes of Alecia Keys, Justin Bieber, 2 Chainz, Lil Wayne and The Black Eyed Peas—with whom Usher appeared during Super Bowl XLV.

While Usher's performance will likely focus primarily on his storied past, fans may also hear a new song or two. His latest album, Coming Home, was released on Friday. Regardless of which songs and guests are featured, fans should be treated to a fun and entertaining intermission to the Chiefs-49ers showdown.
