Cultivating a Compassionate Company CultureLife often presents us with unexpected challenges, and during those personal emergencies, imagine being part of an organization that not only recognizes your contributions in the workplace but also genuinely cares for you during times of crisis.A company's culture mirrors its dedication to its employees. In moments of adversity, when team members need a supportive hand, a compassionate company culture shines brightly, reminding everyone that they are cherished members of a larger family. When a company prioritizes its people, it demonstrates its humanity and unity.I would like to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to my colleagues and our company, RSB. When my daughter experienced an accident that required ankle surgery and hospitalization, the entire company rallied around me. All meetings were rescheduled, and I was granted the time and space to be with my family. This exemplifies the true essence of a caring company that understands the significance of being there when it matters most.Let's work together to create a future where every employee knows they have a company standing by their side when they need it most.#CompanyCulture #EmployeeWellbeing #TogetherWeRise

"It's really disgusting and kind of classist, especially when the majority of people you're employing are going to be lower-income," the former employee said. That's exactly what I was thinking. Does this company employ full time employees and offer a dental plan to them? It seems to be the current and permanent trend to keep employees at arms length, employing them up to the point where they qualify for health and dental coverage. Do I also need to remind you that these are typically the corporations worth lots and pays employees very litte? #NationalPovertyMonth #Disrupt #INEquality #corporations #health

Dear Fellow Women Drivers!Do you know Putting on makeup while driving may create a disastrous distraction.๐Ÿ“ŒPeople may run late, which is why they might put on makeup in the car. ๐Ÿ“ŒRather than โ€œwasteโ€ more time at home, they take to the road and use the rearview mirror like a vanity mirror.๐Ÿ“Œ Hands move from the wheel to apply the makeup, and attention directs away from the road. Unfortunately, reaction time may increase. ๐Ÿ“ŒLosing only 1.5 seconds in reaction time could lead to an accident that otherwise might have been avoided. It makes you think... why nowadays employees leave companies silently. It is important for management to start responding so as not to be left without its assets.A company without people is nothing. Catchy headline aside, this article made me sad. Far too many find their support staff to be invisible. While this isn't new, here's why it's time to finally care:(Beyond simply caring because it's a nicer way to live.)1. The best cultures empower everyone. 2. Being empowered helps each person thrive.3. Many thriving individuals --> a thriving workplace. We often fail to understand the simple truth that ensuring everyone genuinely believes their role matters - that THEY matter - actually helps the business thrive. One favorite example: Janitors at hospitals feel deep purpose when they connect how they clean rooms to how patients heal. I experienced this while serenaded by Francis Joseph after surgery last year. (A video of his amazing song, and overall light, is featured on my profile)But it's really hard to do that when one feels invisible. And ensuring everyone feels seen is the responsibility of a true leader. As folks continue to set 2024 goals, consider adding some that tie to mattering. To meaning. To purpose. It's as good for the bottom line as it is for the soul.If you need help doing this, please reach out. My talks and workshops about meaning & purpose are personal favorites and I'd love to support your teams. If this post resonated, I always appreciate your reactions, comments or reposts - together we can improve workplace (& overall!!) wellbeing.#connection #inspiration #leadership #workplacewellbeing
